The Pentacle first appear when they place an impentrable wall of solid blood over the town of Riverrock, Wyoming. They began to kill the people in the town so they can summon the Lord of Light. the Shadowpact are able to enter with the help of the Shadowpact. the Pentacle are able to capture the Shadowpact except for Detective Chimp who was kidnapped by his counterpart Karnevil and tortured.
They are freed by the White Rabbit who wanted the Nightmaster to hone his skills later so they could battle later but he was attacked by Enchantress because she didn't trust him. The Shadowpact are able to find and free Chimp and defeat the Pentacle in exchange for giving up one year of their lives which passes quickly over the town.
