    Overview

    The Peak, a secret orbital station, is the primary command base of S.W.O.R.D., much as the Helicarrier is to S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Hollow is to A.R.M.O.R.

    Beyond housing S.W.O.R.D.'s facilities and its army of agents, the Peak has such features as the Gravity Well, which is the bar. It also contains a maximum security-plus brig to incarcerate its own prisoners.

    During the Secret Invasion , both S.H.I.E.L.D. and S.W.O.R.D. were compromised by Skrull agents, and the Peak was destroyed by a Skrull posing as Dum-Dum Dugan in the opening salvo of the full-scale invasion. The Peak's automated emergency systems encased its occupants in liquid oxygen shells, allowing for their temporary survival in exposed space. Notably, this protected the life of Abigail Brand long enough for her to sneak aboard one of the ships in the Skrull fleet.

    The Peak was reconstructed after the Skrull invasion had been defeated, making this apparently the seventh Peak to exist in the history of S.W.O.R.D.
