    The Heliopic Brotherhood of Ra took her in, taught her English and the ways of the modern world, and included her in many of their experiments. Wishing to see the outside world, she fled the Heliopic Brotherhood of Ra. She then was found by the Oannes Society, and kept at their headquarters on an otherwise uninhabited island. The Oannes Society believed her to be the water goddess Naunet. Telepathically controlling a mentally retarded girl, Panya gave clues of her whereabouts to Abe Sapien at the B.P.R.D., guiding him to stop the Oannes Society's plans for mass destruction.
