Ozymandias plan, was to make to create peace by making the world believe, that they were attacked by aliens, and can only survive by stopping all wars. Could this work?

No, his plan wouldn't work and makes no sense. A you said, his plan revolves around making the world believe if they don't unite against aliens, they'll all be destroyed. The problem is, they were already in a similar situation. If they didn't unite against nukes they would all be destroyed. The threat of aliens wouldn't provide any extra threat that nuclear weapons didn't. If the people were going to destroy each other anyways with nukes, they were going to destroy each other anyways with aliens.

Do you know Code Geass? It has a pretty similar ending, just that Lelouch makes himself look like he's the greatest asshole ever, and makes the world hate him, so that when he dies, there will be peace because the hate that exists in this world would die with him.

Humans will always be hateful of one another, so committing genocide to achieve temporarily peace is a dumb idea and wouldn't work.

It makes no sense, i mean the comic try to force you to believe Ozymandias was smarter that he actually was.

People will always act the same, religion, politics and other things are scape goats.

Humans need to be monster from time to time, deal with this its what being human actually means.

Which isn't how the world works.

It was, and would be, temporary. The book implied that his peace would not last.

No it could not, at best it only bring world together for a short time to face a common treat but what happen when people realize the invasion was fake? Every government would just blame each other and ending up creating more animosity.

Peace doesn't last forever but I think he did buy humanity peace for sometime unless Rorschach's journal is published.

Every tribe, clan, and nation who hated each other since the dawn of civilisation have had a much greater perpetual threat than each other - plague, famine, the wilderness - yet they continue to fight each other. The USA and USSR were no different, they both know nuclear radiation is dangerous yet they continue manufacturing these types of weapons.

In the real world, it would work temporarily. In the book, lasting peace was probably made.

Well Doctor Manhattan implied that the peace wouldn't last forever. Also people are forgetting that he used a physic resonator that would give the world bad dreams about these aliens for the next ten years. So that would make this peace last at least some time.

In real life it won't work. IMO the only thing that can bring world peace is God not man.

I think it will be published. Lol. In the end Rorschach won.
