A Hulking Mess
I've been rather unsure about this whole series from the start, as it kind of just comes off as a grudge match that's been long in the making. Not only that, but the suggestions associated with the series as to what it's about has been mixed with very poor opinions, mine included. And, disappointingly, we get what is to be expected. Not only that, but that's all we get.
The art is bland at best, making the scenes feel somewhat forced or flat at times. None of the scenes never look engaging or interesting, leaving the writing to do most of the work. And, while we do have some great writers on hand, the subject matter is pretty ham-handed and bland. Much of it involves reflection on the past which ultimately results in a "revelation" that everyone already knows at this point. However, I am inclined to believe that everything isn't quite as it seems here, so I wouldn't write it off quite yet. However, there just isn't enough here to keep me focused or interested in following the series in the future. Unless die-hard fans of these characters, I'd pass if I were you.
