The leader of the Autobots in their war against the Decepticons, Optimus Prime is a noble robot that believes freedom is the right of all sentient beings. He has fallen many times over the course of his different incarnations, but always returns in the Autobots' darkest hour. He truly believes that true peace may never occur until "All Are One". He has had several alternate modes throughout his many different incarnations, but is most renowned for his earliest transformation into a semi-truck.
You can't have a film like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and not expect there to be a prequel to the film. According to Sci Fi Wire, two prequels to the film are set to be released based on IDW Publishing's four issue mini series that were released earlier this year. The books, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Movie Prequel: Defiance and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" Alliance were both written by Chris Mowry and the art is done by Dan Khanna, Andrew Griffith and Josh Perez.
I know that this happens a lot with big blockbuster movies, but how do you guys feel about it? Did you read the series? Will you be purchasing one of the two graphic novels to accompany your movie ticket this Wednesday? I am personally not crazy about prequels, and I feel like this might be just another way to cash in on the big budget film. What do you think?
