One Piece: The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta (ONE PIECE: エピソードオブアラバスタ 砂漠の王女と海賊たち, Wan Pīsu: Episōdo obu Arabasuta Sabaku no Ōjo to Kaizoku-tachi) is the eighth movie of the One Piece franchise that was created by Eiichiro Oda. It was directed by Takahiro Imamura, and it was written by Hirohiko Uesaka. The music is produced by Kazuhiko Sawaguchi, Kouhei Tanaka, Minoru Maruo, Shiroh Hamaguchi, and Yasunori Iwasaki. This movie is a remake of the Alabasta Arc from the manga/anime but contained some alterations in continuity.
The movie was released in Japan in March 3, 2007. This was the first of the One Piece films to be distributed to the U.S. market and was released on DVD in February 19, 2008.
