    I... Werewolf (18 pages)

As Dr. Adam Spektor and his secretary, Lakota Rainflower, explore sinister Mount Algol by moonlight, Spektor is attacked by a large black wolf. The two manage to kill the wolf with large stones, but Spektor is badly wounded. However, as the sun rises, Spektor's wounds miraculously vanish. Feeling rejuvenated, Spektor takes Lakota on a month-long vacation to Europe.

The couple return to New York at a summons from psychic Elliott Kane, who requests Spektor's help in investigating a haunted house. Spektor leaves Lakota and Kane in the house as he steps out for some fresh air. Seeing the full moon, Spektor transforms into a wolfman, and almost attacks Kane's girlfriend Cindy Bask.

Human once more, Spektor makes his way home the next morning, where Lakota recounts the events of the previous night. Spektor goes back to Mount Algol to investigate the remains of the wolf that attacked him. There, the Dark Gods reveal to him that he had in fact been attacked by a demon wolf, and now bore the curse of the werewolf. Three more wolf demons appear and attack Spektor as he once again takes on his wolf form, but the werewolf Spektor destroys all three. He then heads down the mountain to where Lakota awaits him.

Lakota manages to ram the beast with Spektor's car, the silver hood ornament incapacitating the beast, who resumes human form. The secretary takes him back to Spektor Manor to rest. Spektor gives Lakota a gun with a silver bullet, and has her lock him in his library, instructing her to shoot him if he should somehow escape.

In the library, Spektor reads of the legendary Lobrostone, which can supposedly cure werewolves, before the rising moon once more transforms him. He breaks out of the library and attacks Lakota, who cannot bring herself to shoot him. Elliott Kane arrives just in time, and renders the beast unconscious with a silver candlestick holder. The wolfman becomes Dr. Spektor once again, and tells his friends about the Lobrostone and his confidence that he will find it.

Of Bats and Men (7 pages)

    A Baron Tibor solo story.

The partially-cured vampire returns to his ancestral Castle Tibor to discover it being looted by thieves. The Baron, who now has no supernatural powers, attempts to bluff the intruders into leaving, but he is knocked unconscious and left in the presence of a cross to await the rising sun. The thieves steal a large gold chandelier, which is the home to hundreds of vampire bats, who attack them and drive them off, while a revived Tibor decides to track them down and retrieve his treasure after the bats have finished them.

Notes: This issue contains a "16 page Fun Catalog," basically sixteen pages of ads for various Kenner toys.

The Baron Tibor story contains a scene where the Baron is surprised to find that the cross no longer hurts him since he has renounced his evil ways. This sets the story before the events of The Occult Files of Doctor Spektor #8, where Tibor himself brandishes a cross to ward off Count Dracula.
