    Origin

    Nurse Nancy was a prominent character in the British comic series for girls, Twinkle. Nancy has proven to be such a popular character since her inception that she was featured on a commemorative Twinkle stamp issued by the Royal Mail, alongside Twinkle herself.

    Character Evolution

    Nancy runs a hospital for toys with her grandfather, and is in charge of taking care of the various doll and stuffed animal patients under her care. Other children often bring their toys to Nancy, to watch over them until they are well.
