    Character » Nova appears in 1111 issues.

    Richard Rider was a young teenager when he was granted the power of a Nova Centurion. He would have many adventures both on his own and with his peers among the New Warriors; Richard even became a member of the Avengers ever so briefly. He eventually became Nova-Prime, leader of the Nova Corps, where he established himself as a universally cosmic hero of immense power.

    Anyone happy that the Nova Corps is back?

    To be honest, I'm not. I wish he had more time as the sole Nova force/thingy.

    I kinda doubt the whole corp will be around for a long time as constituted, but overall I like that they are back. Rider is still the Nova Prime, so I'm not worried about any corpsmen stealing the spotlight, but instead I think this will give Nova more chances to prove himself as a great leader.

    i wouldn't get to excited about the new corps....somethings up with worldmind and i doubt the corps will be around much longer

    I'm not up with the current issues, the last issue I read was the one where he leaves Cosmo (The space Dog). But, what's up with WorldMind?

    SPOILERS




    well nova was trying to evacuate a planet that galactus was in the process of "devouring" and stayed on the planet too long and had to use galactus's planet energy vacuum hose to get out but the energy in the hose short circuited worldmind....so for acouple issues it was just nova and his suit's backup a.i. which isn't much of an a.i. since nova had to tell it to do everything...but anyway nova comes to earth durring the invasion and visits his brother at project pegasus and they remove worldmind from nova and 5 new centurians show up....nova and the new centurians do some crime fighting...and nova asks worldmind when he's going back into his head and worldmind says that he isn't because of the whole insanity thing nova tells him that he doesn't want to reform the corps yet and that he needs to stop recruiting....nova goes and fights some more crime and comes back and worldmind has recruitted everyone at project pegasus including nova's little brother

    i liked it with just one nova...he didn't seem to have a problem handling worldmind after annihilation

    err... Abnett & Lanning. Disaster? Well, that's your opinion.

    Personally, A&L are doing a fantastic work with Nova but like danhimself said, the Nova Corps is something he had not in mind and after turning almost everyone in PROJECT Pegasus into Corps, I'm sure we'll see more tension within Nova and Worldmind.

    I can't believe what happened in #21 I mean I guess it was building up to it especially the way Richard was played by Worldmind by making his brother a centurion as well.

    As for A&L they really are superb which brings me to my other Question. who are the ones behind War of Kings? is it Kyle & Yost or A&L I like both creative teams.

    I mean I like how Y&K are relating Vulcan but A&L are definitely the the guys when it comes to space.

    The answer is no.Quasar is more powerful than any Nova has ever been.

    But where does that leave Phyla-vell cause a few issues back "Quasar" was in the pegasus building but I thought Phyla-vell was the new Quasar?

    The better question is..Do you think Marvel cares what happens to Phylla? Marvel will do one thing...come up with a new idea and then almost act as if certain characters don't exist.

    Everything I've read Abnett and Lanning are the leads for the War of Kings.

    I was also couldn't believe the end of #21, Nova has actually grown to be one of my favorite characters in comics. Although they wouldn't have done what they did unless they had something grandious in mind for the Human Rocket.

    I for one is still undecided. The characters from the Corps. are starting to grow on me, but I still wish that clones from the Champions of Xandar(who are actually Nova Corps)., would appear like Queen Adora did in the 90's. Speaking of which, where the heck is she?
