I was reading a summary of  Hercules: Fall of an Avenger #1 today and there's a moment where all the past lovers come together and talk about...well sleeping with Herc haha, and then there's this curious bit with Northstar... Here's the extract....
 
 

Namor stands beside the sultry Snowbird, the deadly Black Widow and Alflyse, the Queen of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim. ‘For now we women will speak of what truly matters’ Namora declares, asking her friends to present themselves. They do so, and Namora points out that although they come from vastly different nations and races, each of them has stood with Hercules.

‘And lay with him’ Snowbird announces, smiling, before declaring ‘Now come. I know there are others in the crowd who should join us…don’t be shy’ the goddess of the north declares. The Sub-Mariner looks confused, while Snowbird’s fellow former member of Alpha Flight - Northstar - exclaims ‘Is that the time? Gotta go!’ and speeds away. 
 
Am I wrong in assuming this means Northstar's slept with Hercules?? Could someone maybe elaborate??

Yes, Herc, a true example of a stereotypical ancient Greek warrior, slept with Northstar. This of course, happened off-panel somewhen. It was quite an amusing part of the comic.

point of fact when they first married spartan women had their heads shaved the theory is it eased their husbands into switching from men to women

well.. the Marvel Hercules is supposed to also be the mythological Hercules in the Marvel world so it should be expected

Mythical Herc was a a huge womanizer and occasionaly he would take what the text would call a beautiful man to his bed as well. So no suprise Marvel kept that part of his history something different, its not like you could see Thor doing it.

Why does Marvel feel the need to suddenly say, "Oh, and he hit that." right after they die? They did the exact same thing with Sentry and Rogue when Sentry died.
