    Brief Summary:

Journeying to Kravia, Nightwing (in his third costume) finds that the Kravian leader is muderous and must prevent an ethnic cleansing that is taking place.

    In Depth Summary:

Bernie the assassins looking to kill Dick approaches him saying he can help put all of Dick's worries behind him if he follows him, to which Dick senses something off about the man. However before he's able to react Miggie the woman he'd recently saved approaches him to ask him to continue to spend time with her, to which he says he cant, but tells her he'll home and has to tell Bernie he'll have to raincheck their conversation.

Bernie has a call with the prince of Kravia where he tells the prince Dick is as good as dead and meanwhile Dick sees once again the happy family Miggie is a part of and feels another pang of jealously at the happy family he'd missed out on while growing up.

Back in his apartment he notices the glimmer off of watch and smashes the door into Bernie who was lying in wait behind the door. Dick clocks Bernie in the face, but is caught by surprise when Bernie remains conscious and hits Dick back. Making some distance between the two dick flying kicks Bernie, but he is still able to get back up, jump out the window, grab the preplaced rope and drive away on the already running motorcycle. Mentally berating himself for his clumsiness Dick finds that Bernie had dropped a phone and redials the last number hear a foreign voice answer on the other end of the line. The other person quickly hangs up when dick replies in English and it cuts to Kravia where the prince is hanging up the phone.

The prince talks about the ethnic cleansing of his country that will soon be taking place to an elderly man who objects to the horrific actions the prince is attempting to make. Scoffing, the prince replies that he is the way inside and on the outside all because of what his father, the elderly man had done, before he tells the guards to put his father under house arrest.

In the Batcave Dick is at the Batcomputer with Alfred where Oracle (Barbara Gordan) appears on one of the screens and briefs Dick on the history of the country of Kravia, its prince and different options available for him to enter the country. After getting his intelligence from Oracle, Dick then gets his new Nightwing suit designed by Harold the resident mechanic/tech guy/costume designer. He then tests out the suit and then heads out to get a plane and a piolet to take him discreetly over the air space of Kravia.

Once the plane is over Kravia parachutes out of the plane in his new Nightwing suit and uses his enhanced night vision visors to locate the palace of the prince of Kravia. Meanwhile in the palace the prince is launching his ethnics purging of people with skin darker than certain shade and has his men head out to execute his plans. At this time Dick sees a father and child cornered by armed soldiers while still descending, when suddenly a flare is shot up revealing his presence and a flurry of bullets begin to rain up at him. Quickly Dick detaches the chute to fall faster, grabs a branch that bends to stop his fall and hangs a moment only to immediately spotted by guards.

He drops down on the guard knocking him out and throws his gun at his partner downing them as well, before swiftly retreating back into the cover of the trees. Just when he thinks that he's hidden, he hears a buzzing sound which happens to be coming from his communicator connected to his home phone that he'd forgotten to mute like an idiot. A shaky, frightened voice of Miggie comes on over the phone asking for Dick's help and just then lights flash onto Dick as the soldiers once again locate him.

    The Debut of Fingerstripes! 0

In the last issue, Dick Grayson gave up the mantle of Nightwing and learned that his parent’s death has something to do with the nation of Kravia. I’ll get to the actual story and artwork in a moment, but first we must acknowledge something truly special. This issue is the debut of the black & blue costume, complete with the beloved finger stripes. It’s a look that would stick with the character until he inherited the cowl from Bruce Wayne in 2009, and is by far his most popular look. Drink ...
