Im a big nightcrawler fan, and very unhappy to know that he will not be in any more movies. For those who belive they is still some hope, look at it for a second: 
1. The only confirmed X-men movies are; 
Magneto- no Nightcrawler 
X-men first class- they covered Nightcrawlers origin in X-men 2 
Wolverine 2- no Nightcrawler 
Deadpool- no Nightcrawler (But Deadpool and Nightcrawler are still awesome) 
2. Possible X-men movies; 
Gambit- no Nightcrawler   
Storm- no Nightcrawler
X-men4- if he wasn't in X-men 3, why would he be in the fourth 
3. the reason he wasn't in X-men 3 was because actor that played Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming) is a baby who doesn't want to put on that much make-up. 
4. He has already been done badly by Fox by giving him those stupid scars which they only put they so storm and jean can say "what the one on the back of your neck mean", like a said, "Stupid"!

The movie version of Nightcrawler wasn't all that amazing. Yeah, he was alright, but it wasn't the best ever movie adaptation of a character.

the make-up and prostetics would probably cost too much for them to use. Especially when Beast and Mystique are on the scene ... the blue-ness just get's too much.

just hurt his eyes thinking about all three on the screen at the same time in a small space. "
