What did you all think about the touching moment at the end of Ultimate Fallout #6 where Nick Fury revealed that he loved Peter Parker/Spider-man?

Personally, I felt that it was refreshing to see another side to Fury than this dick who gets the job done.

I didn't read it, but it sounds really wisey washy for a guy like Fury to express himself, this is a man who has been portrayed as willing to send his own mother on a suicide mission to get the job done. I don't really see him shedding any tears over the lose of one super hero, even if its a kid.

I see where your coming from and do largely agree. Fury has always been known for a will of steel so having him show such emotion would be a little much for me, how he was when everyone is standing around Bucky in one of the newest fear itself books and the four or so words he uttered were much more towards how I would envision him being in a moment like that. having said all of this it is the Ultimate universe so I guess that's what there entitled to do with the characters there.

@Omega Ray Jay: I would agree if he hadn't already showed he's a heartless calculating killing machine in the Ultimate Universe, just look at his willingness to sacrifice the people of the Supreme Universe by releasing the Hulk on them.  But its their character they can do what they want, I've pretty much written off Marvel anyway.

@Nova`Prime`: Ah I wasn't really aware of Fury's character in Ultimate much having never read any of it but if he had showed such a side then I can see why it would be hard accepting that.
