    Short summary describing this issue.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

After the shocking events of last issue, the students of the Xavier Institute take their stand against Belasco, but do they have any hope of defeating the powerful demon sorcerer? And deep in the heart of Limbo, Anole and Pixie make a deal with another devil, a much blonder and more Russian devil by the name of Illyana Rasputin, while an earth-bound Surge and Hellion try to find a way into Hell. Part 2 (of 4)!

The mutants fight back against Belasco but with little success. Elixir uses his newly-acquired medical knowledge to build David a new heart to replace the one Belasco ripped out. X-23 frees Dust and Mercury only to have her skeleton mystically removed by Belasco. Illyana sets her sights on Pixie and the others spring to her defense but are handily brushed aside at the Darkchild’s might. Trance breaks free long enough to tell Surge and Hellion who has taken them and that Belasco is killing them and has already killed David. ONE cross-references this info and locates Amanda Sefton. Surge and Hellion insist on helping. Dust and Mercury fight valiantly against Belasco, finding courage and motivation to overcome their fears. Distraught to hear that her friends are in pain and at death’s door, Pixie gives in to Illyana’s demands… offering her own soul to form a new soulsword in the hopes of defeating Belasco!

Please tell me someone doesn't die this time 0

One of the biggest reasons why I picked up the Quest for Magik arc was the same reason why I liked New X-Men Vol.2 in the first place: The focus on the other mutants living at Xaviers instead of the tried and true cast that we've had for quite some time now. So you can probably imagine my delight when I found out that Loa, Anole, Pixie and Gentle were finally getting a slice of the limelight too. While the arc itself isn't the best so far since it seems to be hampered by the rampaging cloud of de...

second after a student was dispatched last issue, those left break free to a) try and make contact with the material world, b) try to save the life thats lost, and c) take the one responsible head on. the kids that managed to escape the mayhem at Belasco's castle - are in dire need of better help. in being introduced to Darkchild, they easily grasp why Belasco himself wont tolerate her. back at whats left of the mansion a rescue team tries to mount as a vicious brawl takes place below(?)..the ch...

Yeah, the Mask Of Tengu pretty much has it right.. 0

I'm glad that i'm not the only one thinking like Tengu (if I may call you that). There's one reason, and ONLY one reason that I bought this book...Magik.Actually, that's not entirely true. When I first saw the solicitation for New X-Men #37 (37?), the combination of a possible return for Illyana ('ol school New Mutants fans here) along with the GORGEOUS art by Niko Henrichon made this a no-brainer for me. Man, was I disappointed when I found out that Henrichon only did "selected" pages and the r...
