Shattered
This issue is perhaps one of the most important in the history of Emma Frost. Here Jean Grey, after a tip-off from the cuckoos, finds Emma and her own husband Scott in a comprimisng position. About to get it on in Emma's head! What follows is Jean forcing Emma to re-live certain moments of her past and face up to her recent actions. Jean confronts Emma who replies with little remorse only for Jean to unleash the Phoenix upon her. We discover Shaw being in love with Emma, her plastic sugery and her family life. Admittedly it is quite hard to feel sorry for Emma, but upon her revealing of falling in love with Scott (the brilliant line "Why did I have to fall in love with Scott bloody Summers?") perhaps we begin to understand her a bit clearer. After all I am sure alot of us have been in love with someone unattainable?
