    M is for MASSACRE!

Love him or loath him forever, Grant Morrison will always be GRANT MORRISON! If anyone wants to begin to write a love/hate letter to this Scottish extraordinaire, refer some of his earlier opuses-Batman: Arkham Asylum, The Invisibles, Doom Patrol, and most importantly-New X-Men! The former X-Men title suffered terribly in both sales and fan-reception due partly on the mismanaged editorial decisions in the late 90s. New blood, new life, new direction. Grant wanted to present readers and even writers how to infuse new, if not radical, ideas without diminishing the trademark characterization left behind by the great Chris Claremont. New outfit, new member (the perennial bitch Emma), new attitude, new villain, new story. Morrison planted so many seeds here that understandably left novice readers confused. But to the fans, this was the start of a new adventure--with the dreaded E! And this only part one! What more in his 40+ issues! Dig in!
