Goddamn It, I Thought We Were Moving On From This!
Seriously, enough with this filler crap, let's get back to the main story already!
This issue starts almost identically to the previous one, with another universe that will inevitably lose. I'm so tired of these other universes, it makes me sick. Seriously, I'm invested with the characters of the New Avengers that we have right here and now! Stop showing me other universes I don't care about; they could seriously be footnotes, or a single page that covers what happens. Nothing really new is drawn from all this beyond a little of how the enemy functions, which isn't all that great anyway.
Luckily, we don't spend too much time with them, as we move on to Doctor Strange, who's got some really interesting stuff going on. And, while there's some really good work done with him, I don't think it's quite enough to salvage this issue completely. However, he alone earns this book two extra stars for me, which says a lot.
There isn't much else to cover here; Dr. Strange is really interesting and exciting as he develops and shows his strength of character, the other universes need to stop taking so much time and effort away from the main characters who matter, and the art is still not very good, in my personal opinion. Hopefully, next week will offer us something more to look forward to.
