    Meet the Avengers!!!

Nick Fury is searching for the 1959 Avengers. While the New Avengers battle and Mockingbird suffers from her fatal wound.

    The Cover

This cover is very impressive, one of my favourite cover's in a while.

    The Good

Bendis' writing here is very good, this is one of the best issue's in this series. Mike Deodato's art here is brilliant, it is very nice the way he lays the pages out and the dynamic of the shadows is so impressive. He really is one of Marvel's top artists. This issue is better than the last. It is devleloping the both the stories but there is no connection yet. It was cool seeing Fury form the 59 Avengers.

    The Bad

Deodato's and Chaykin's art are just so different. I really like the two stories but the different style's is a bit distracting. The switching between both stories can stop the flow of action.

    Overall

This was a good issue, I enjoyed it alot. I was concerned about the idea of an Avengers team in 1959 but hopefully it will work out in the end.Bendis and Deodato are great together. I would have loved to have seen Deodato draw the 59 Avengers.

    The Score

    New Avengers #10 gets a 4

The two stories from last issue continue as we see the formation of the Avengers in 1959 along with the current battle of the New Avengers (plus, what will be the fate of the wounded member?).  The Good I was against the idea that the Avengers actually first formed in 1959 rather than in Avengers #1. I have to admit that this group gathered has promise and (depending on if they can complete their mission) deserve their own mini series. The fact that most of them don't get along and are all deadl...

Still Not Interested In The '59 Avengers 0

New Avengers continues with its awkward story split between the New Avengers in the present day and Nick Fury back in the late fifties. It is no worse than last issue, but it is not much improved either.  In the present day, the New Avengers continue their raid on Superia's new operation, but now the action focuses on the the gunshot injury Mockingbird suffered in the previous issue. It makes for an exciting sequence, because you do not get to see team members getting hurt treated in such a real...
