    Origin

Necalli, the Emissary of the Gods, is an ancient, powerful and savage Aztek god, who periodically awakens to fight powerful and strong fighters and to costume their souls. In the distant past, Necalli encountered and fought the Warrior Prophet, an Aztek priest who made prophecies regarding Necalli and who he would fight in the future. Some of the prophecies include encounters between Necalli and Ryu, Dhalsim and M. Bison.

    A Shadow Falls

In SFV's Cinematic Story Mode, he first appears in Nash's dream, in the form of a sheep. Necalli shouts 'devour' before he transforms back to his original shape and tries to devour Nash's soul. However a butterfly repels him.

Later, he appears before Ryu and Dhalsim in India; he then announces himself as 'the Jaws of Death' and says that the warriors' souls will come with him. Ryu faces him but as Necalli unleashes his full power, he gets soundly beaten. Ryu lets the Satsui no Hado get the best of him for a brief moment, but his blow gets blocked by Dhalsim, who teleported in order to hold back Necalli. The battle gets to a total halt as an outlandish object - a Black Moon made by Shadaloo - appears blocking the sun, making Necalli retreat.

Necalli then appears at Shadaloo's base before Bison, as he was about to finish Nash. The dictator then faces and defeats the beast, as he says everything goes according to his plan. Before Necalli could do anything else, Bison's second-in-command F.A.N.G repels him with his poison, making him retreat yet again. He then meets and then pursues Nash, Rashid and Azam, probably trying to devour their souls as well, but ultimately failing to do so as they escape in Karin's helicopter.

Later on, he has a final showdown with Ryu at the Kanzuki Zaibatsu. Ryu, being more confident in his training this time around, has an easier time facing the demigod. Ryu then channels the full extent of his Hado, which turns from purple/red (Satsui no Hado) into blue, indicating that he has achieved the Power of Nothingness. Necalli tries to attack Ryu, but he gets hit with a powerful blow. Necalli gets depowered, wondering why he couldn't devour his soul like he could with others. As Ryu doesn't struggle with the Red Energy/Satsui no Hado anymore, Necalli is said by Dhalsim that he won't be devouring Ryu's soul - or Dhalsim's or Bison's for that matter - after all. Failing to fulfill the prophecy, he finally dissipates to the ground for good.

    Character Development

Necalli is inspired and influenced by several and various Aztek mythological figures, such as Huitzilopochtli and Tzitzimitl, as well as broader Aztek art, patterns and ideas. He has a very savage and violent personality, and dislikes humanity.
