Natsu Dragneel

Origin

Natsu's past is cloaked in mystery as his biological parents are unknown. At a very young age he was found by the fire dragon Igneel. Igneel became Natsu's adoptive parent as he raised Natsu and taught him how to use the powerful Dragon Slayer Magic. On the seventh day of the seventh month Igneel disappeared and left Natsu on his own. Natsu then found the guild Fairy Tail where he eventually joined. Til this day Natsu still seeks out Igneel,(though no one believes him since dragons are thought to be extinct).

A Winged Cat

As a young mage in Fairy Tail, Natsu discovered an egg. Believing it to be a Dragon egg. He and his best friend, and possible

love interest (Anime Only), Lisanna built a nest and egg sat so that it would hatch. Right before it was ready to hatch the egg disapeared. Natsu and Lisanna searched high and low for the missing egg but they had no luck. The two went to the guild asking around, and pointing fingers, until Elfman (Lisanna's Older Brother) revealed the egg to them. The egg then hatched and instead of a dragon, small Blue cat emerged. The cat could talk and shockingly fly. They named the cat 'Happy' since he made everyone in the guild cheer up and laugh. Happy became Natsu best friend and sidekick. (Anime is diferent history than the manga, in manga, Lissana not is very important in this part)

Powers and Abilities

Powers:

Natsu possesses the Fire Dragon Slayer magic. This provide Natsu with the strongest form of fire magic. It allows him to

enhance his body with flames multiplying his destructive power whether its a punch or a kick. Natsu styles his magic into different attacks, his most famous being his Fire Dragon's Roar. He is also impervious to all fire attacks and he is able to 'eat' fire in order to regain his strength. At times he is able to increase his flames output depending on his emotional state, multiplying his power even greater.

Abilities:

Dragon slayer magic is also able to increase his sense of smell making Natsu an exceptional tracker. He is a pretty skilled in hand to hand combat making him able to win in almost impossible situations. His flames are the strongest seen in the series burning hot enough to melt the strongest objects. Natsu is also able to use transformation magic he learned from Mirajane allowing him to shape shift.

Dragon's Force:

A very powerful state that Natsu has only achieved later in the series. The first activation is during the fight with Jellal where he consumes Etherion. Second is when he consumes Jellal's Flames of Rebuke. This mode gains Natsu massive boost in both strength and speed. Though not easy to control himself in this mode, Natsu has always managed to beat opponents he uses the mode on.

Natsu has even been seen consuming Laxus's lightning and Zancrow's God Flame and use a resulting stronger elemental technique employing these elements. It has can be at least thought of that Natsu is capable of consuming energy, whatever form it may be in.

Natsu has a vast array of skills employing his Dragon Slayer magic and his ability to absorb energy.

Dragon Slayer Techniques

1. Fire Dragons Roar

This is Natsu's signature Dragon's Roar in which he quickly gathers and releases a large quantity of flames from his mouth at his target.

2. Fire Dragons Claw

Natsu ignites his feet in flames, thereby increasing the power of his kicks. The flames can also be used for jet-propulsion purposes.

3. Fire Dragons Iron Fist

Natsu engulfs his fists in flames and punches the target.While wearing a cat mask once, he names this technique Cat Fire.

4. Fire Dragon's Wing Attack

Natsu rushes towards his target and grabs them, before subsequently setting hands ablaze, sending them flying.

Weakness:

Natsu's only weakness is, obscurely, motion sickness. Whenever in a moving object or vehicle (other then Happy) Natsu automatically becomes sick and completely vulnerable.

Personality:

Natsu is a very passionate and light-hearted person. He constantly starts fights with stronger mages of the guild just to prove that he is stronger. He constantly fights with his rival Gray Fullbuster but the two act more like brothers. The only person only seen to be able to stop them from fighting is Erza Scarlett whom he also has a deep connection to. Natsu, like Erza, believes in doing anything for Fairy Tail and its members. He also believes in valuing human life. When going on missions he is usually accompanied by Lucy, Erza, Happy, and Gray of Team Natsu.
