The ESPers Gene Sandoval and Helen Connors flee from the Hawking Institute. Especially the girl is considered an essential component of national security, and she is therefore also of interest for the criminal organization known as “GHOST”. Professor Klaus, head of the Hawking Institute, hires Nathan Never to track the fugitives, who are directed towards the underground agglomeration of Rodan, inhabited by a degraded humanity. But also the mercenary Colonel Edwards is on their trail.
