About Me

A foreword.

Hmm...where to begin...perhaps I should start with some information about myself? My full name is Valthjof Ulfrik Ragnulf, and as you can guess from my name I am Scandinavian by blood and can claim the vikings as direct ancestors. As for my age? Well let's just say I'm fifteen years old and keep it at that. What about my physical appearance you ask? Well, I don't think that would be something I'd want to share with someone on the internet although I will say that I'm rather skinny. I have been on a great many places on the internet and I have accounts on the Dawn of War 2 community, the Giant in the Playground, Armchair General, and the total war center, all of which have the same username as this account. Though I tend to be highly self critical, people tell me I'm a very good writer and I was recommended to this place for it's role playing community. One word of warning though, I am incredibly cynical, as in cynical to the point of being virtually unable to see any goodness in man or the universe as a whole, so if you tend to look on the idealistic side of things you and I will have more than our fair share of disagreements. And please note, my character's biography is a work in progress, it'll become bigger and more impressive as ideas come to me.

Now as for my character:

Czin the Death God

The entity known as Czin is not truly a god at all, but is in fact merely a member of an alien species known as the Cuotl with technology so advanced that lesser beings would mistake it for divinity. Czin was the captain of a alien exploratory vessel that crash landed on the earth in 1700 B.C, scattering pieces of itself across the world, though the bulk of it landed in Mesoamerica, more specifically in the Bosawas rainforest. Miraculously, Czin and three other crewmembers of this ship survived the crash landing and emerged to find themselves on an Alien world with no way of returning to or communicating with home. The Aliens took not two steps before encountering the natives of the Earth, and after a brief scuffle that ended in the obliteration of three tribes; the Aliens were held to be gods.

Czin quickly set himself up as the leader of his ragtag group and taught the Mesoamericans a choice number of his kind's secrets, carving out the Olmec civilization, a glorious thing which lasted for over a thousand years, but many of the Olmecs grew to resent Czin and his fellows and rebelled against them. For this, Czin laid low much of their armies and abandoned them, going to the Mayan civilization, or more correctly; the Lacandonian Mayans and became known as Cizin, the god of death and pestillence. With his support the Mayans crushed the Olmecs utterly, but the Mayans proved to be a fractious people and he was never able to completely rule over them.

Eventually, following over a thousand years of being ruled by Czin, the Lacandons rebelled against Czin too, and he cursed them with a horrific bio-engineered plague of bacteria as well as a horrendously bad drought which dried up much of the Yucatan's peninsula's sources of Fresh water, forcing most of the Mayans to abandon their cities and making them easy pickings for Czin's new favorite culture, the Toltecs.

Czin's time with the Toltecs was rather brief at only 200 years, but it was glorious indeed; but again they eventually tried and failed to rise up against Czin, who abandoned and cursed them. He and his fellows trekked to the Andes and came to the Inca, who immediately bowed before him as a deity, he greatly enhanced their civilization, but eventually left even assist the rise of the new power of mesoamerica; the Aztecs. After teaching the Aztecs many secrets of warfare and science, Czin once more left for South America and prophecized a great event that would occur on the year that is known as 1519 on the Georgian Calendar, which the Aztecs thought would mean his return.   He and his accomplices sealed themselves in the crashed hulk of their old spaceship, which had been long ago covered in dirt and vegetation, thus hiding itself from the prying eyes of mankind.

For nearly three hundred years he slaved away in the confines of the wreck of his ship uninterrupted, working to build more examples of his kind's technology and maybe even advance it some what. But during the Mexican war of independence, a stray cannon ball hit his base of operations, forcing him and his accomplices, Ix the moon god and former chief security officer, Xil the sun god and former head engineer, and Shok the storm goddess and former chief anthropologist (rough translation) to drive away the humans arrayed before them to protect their work.

Both the Spanish and the Mexican rebels fled the scene, and all were shot for desertion, keeping his secret safe. What role he played throughout the rest of the 19th and 20th centuries is unknown. Even today, virtually no one knows of his existence; and it is quite likely that his own species has forgotten him, though anyone would be able to recognize his resemblance to the grim reaper of European folklore, the result of one of the universe's many odd coincidences.

Though the universe at large has no knowledge of his existence, he keeps himself informed of all the going ons of the milky way galaxy, very little information of note escapes his notice. He both intends to return home and collect the many pieces of his ship's technology that were scattered across the world when his ship broke apart in the atmosphere all those years ago, since allowing them to fall into the hands of humanity would be akin to allowing children to play with nuclear weapons; but still he remains in the confines of his crashed ship that lies deep in the heart of the Bosawa Rainforest, safe from prying eyes, interrupted by only the occasional intrepid explorers who manage to discover his ship; none of which ever return home.

He has recently acquired a Qwardian power ring and power battery during the course of one of the many light wars, he acquired this ring after a trio of especially brave Green Lanterns infiltrated the base of a being known as Glucknar and tore open his vault; allowing for untold thousands of rings that he had tried to contain to escape and find new users.

He has decided to use this ring to further his own agendas, though he has decided to stand against Glucknar, whom he perceives to be the only actual threat to the Cuotl Death Stellar Dominion's position as the most powerful nation in existence that exists in the entire observable universe (from earth's perspective) and also knows that he represents a threat to the cosmic balance that the Cuotl have worked hard to achieve.

As of now, Czin is in Champion City, awaiting for the arrival of other ring bearers so that they may take the fight to the Glucknarans.

The Coutl

The Cuotl are ancient beyond all reckoning, it has been said that they don't actually have a beginning even. For their entire species is enclosed in a stable time loop with the end being at the very moment before the universe's death, and the beginning being just moments after it's birth. They have taken their sciences to an level that none in the entire observable universe are able to fathom. Their dominion stretches for more than a sextillion light years in all directions, and they freely meddle in the affairs of all others without their knowledge; for they are the stewards of the universe.

Though some in the portion of the universe that those who dwell on earth are able to perceive may have heard of the cuotl, none who are alive today have ever seen one, yet their influence is felt all around. Nothing escapes their attentions or their notice, nothing is hidden from their ancient eyes.

They are ruled by the great Tro'xiv'lak, the Divine High Dominator of the Cuotl Stellar Death Dominion who is only surpassed in might and wisdom by the Cuotl High Gods themselves. (more to come)

Abilities

Strength: Czin's simple size alone would grant him strength far in excess of what a normal human would be able to muster, but his odd physiology allows him to exert even more physical force. Unaided, his lifting capacity is in the hundreds of tons. However, as he always wears his suit of power armor, his strength is more likely in the tens of thousands of tons.
Durability; Czin is so durable that attempting to kill him with conventional weapons would be monstrously impractical. He can take a massive amount of damage. He is capable of walking away from nukes.
Damage resistance: it takes a mighty attack indeed to so much as hurt Czin. He would take far less damage from a nuke than most organisms of his size
Technology: Czin possesses control of technology that is simply beyond the comprehension of most humans. A device in his wrists no larger than a modern day microchip allows him to generate Naked singularities through manipulation of the four fundamental forces and the spacetime continuum, and another allows him to release extremely virulent microbes. Yet another gives him control of the typically supernatural force of hellfire, allowing him to literally burn a man's soul. Yet another allows him to drain the life force out of everyone in a large radius, healing himself. This is merely his default equipment and by no means is the limit of the gadgetry he makes use of. Due to his technology's ability to manipulate spacetime, he is capable of teleportation, though time travel takes a great deal of energy to pull off.
Regeneration: Czin has a natural healing ability that is augmented by his armorsuit, which itself possesses advanced self-repair mechanisms. If a sufficiently large piece of him were to be severed (about the size of one of his fingers up to their first joint, so about three inches) it would be able to grow into a clone of him given time, though there is as always a small chance of mutation.
Intelligence: Czin is an very intelligent example of a species whose dumbest members tend to be a great deal smarter than the most intelligent humans.
Scientist: Czin is trained as a scientist, focusing in microbiology, spiritual forces, and quantum physics, though his knowledge in virtually any field of hard-science known to man would be enough to advance human civilization by millions of years. He however, correctly believes that mankind simply doesn't have the mental capacity to sustain the technology he knows of, simply put humans aren't smart enough to be able to maintain and produce the technological marvels he takes for granted.
Engineer: Czin is an engineer of phenomenal skill, which allows him to build the devices he visualizes.
Scythe: Czin can retract and extend energy sheathed sickle blades from his wrists that are capable of breaking apart and extending as if they were chains. Anything hit by these blades that survives is immediately attacked by his virulent flesh devouring, metal eating microbes. These blades are capable of parrying Necrodermis and slicing through lightsaber fields, adamantium, phrik alloy, and power weapons.
Immunity to telepathy: Czin's mind is so alien and bizarre that telepathic communication with humans is simply impossible. Actually attempting to read his mind is a one-way ticket to literally overloading one's brain, resulting in brain death and reducing the mind reader into a functioning vegetable. Mind control and hypnosis also do not affect him.
Alien Physiology; Many items that are lethal poisons to humans do not phase Czin in the slightest and he may in fact even consider these things to be food. In addition, his body lacks virtually any centralized organs, allowing him to continue to function even if his body has suffered massive amounts of damage, albeit in a reduced form. Conversely, many things that are harmless or beneficial for humans have negative or even lethal effects on Czin. For example, the element Mercury is lethal for humans, but is as important to his physiology as water is to ours. He does not sleep.
Alien senses: His senses of hearing and vision are also greatly superior to that of a human's, his sense of taste is somewhat better than a humans, his sense of smell is about equal to a human's, but his sense of touch is pitiful, it's incredibly crude to the point that he can't use this sense for much besides being able to tell that he is being touched. However, he is capable of sensing ground tremors, liquid displacement, and minute air disturbances with great ability; he can use these senses with the same clarity as his sight (with obvious exceptions like color, which cannot be sensed this way) out to a mile, and can discern the approximate location of a creature out to ten miles through the air, a hundred through a liquid as dense as water, and a thousand miles through the ground assuming the ground has about the same density and composition as is average for the earth. He can also see in every part of the electromagnetic spectrum and can hear far lower and higher frequencies than humans can, although he is capable of fine tuning his senses to ignore certain things.
Electricity resistance: Czin suffers far less harm from electricity than a carbon based life form of his size and mass would.
Plague: A lesser version of Czin's rot surrounds the alien, it drains the life out of all carbon based life it comes into contact with, eating both their flesh and their souls. He can repress this at will thanks to a terminator gene he placed in his bacterium, which acts as a genetic kill switch, but the disease is more than capable of spreading on it's own.
Wall crawling: Czin is capable of walking on sheer surfaces like a spider or insect.
Good Scarer: Czin is a master at the art of inducing fear, and can kill the lesser hearted through nothing but fright alone without the assistance of technology.
Psion: Czin is a very potent Psion. He focuses on the field of telepathy, which is to say he is best at using his psionic abilities to affect the minds of others.
Mage: Czin is a powerful mage and posseses a potent amount of skill with the Arcane arts, having studied and practiced it in his spare time; much like his psionic abilities, he primarily uses this to affect the minds of others.
Speed: Czin is significantly faster than his size and frame would suggest, and can reach speeds of about 100 miles per hour, or half that if climbing a sheer surface. With his armor, his max speed is quintupled. In addition, he possesses surprisingly quick reflexes, and is capable of reacting a hundred times faster than a human, though he can dial this down if he wants time to go by more quickly.
Endurance: Czin's mercury blood equivalent (where our blood is primarily water, his blood is primarily mercury with an lithium base) has a far greater density of red blood cell equivalents than humans, and his entire body acts as the surface area for his respiration system (whereas humans are only able to use their lung's surface area for this) thus giving him an virtually perfect (efficiency wise) respiration system, giving him virtually unlimited stamina.
Life and death: Czin can either kill something with a touch, or he can bring it back to life with his touch. It is possible to resist the death touchf one is sufficiently tough and it is possible for a soul to refuse to be resurrected. Obviously, this ability does not work on machines or things that were never living, it can however affect the undead, if an undead creature fails to resist the death touch it is destroyed, if he uses the resurrection touch; it is made living once more. The resurrecting touch works on corpses of any condition, if he used it on a dinosaur fossil, the missing bones, flesh, skin, and organs would materialize out of thin air and make a living, breathing dinosaur. This power also gives him control over a creature or objects age, with a touch he can remove so many years that the affected is turned into an fetus, or he can age them into dust. He can also make one immune to old age or gradual effects such as erosion or oxidation with his touch, though it is up to him as to whether he prevents them from aging at all or allows the affected being to reach their physical prime, and of course this can be combined with his ability to change a creature's age. If he is feeling particularly cruel he can grant the afflicted an inability to die from old age, but still allow them to age further. All of these powers can be resisted by the sufficiently hardy or strong of will. He cannot use this ability to kill or age Gods, as they are immune to this ability; though he can change the apparent age of a god (as in, he can make a god's natural form that of a Child) f he sacrifices the usage of this ability for a day; Devils, Demons, Angels, and the like however; are not so lucky.
Gaze of sleep: Much like how those who stare at the face of a Medusa turn into stone, those who stare at the darkness that Obscures Czin's facemask fall asleep, though this can be resisted and he can repress it at will.
Lord of dreams: Czin can manipulate the dreams of any sleeping creature that is either within twenty five thousand miles or across any distance if he has their location. He frequently uses this to torment his foes with unimaginably horrific nightmares.
Heat resistant: Czin is capable of tolerating much higher temperatures than a human, even without his armor he can easily bathe in lava.

Weakness

Cold: Due to his Silicon based biochemistry, Czin cannot function at low temperatures. His suit has to keep him heated at well over 300 degrees celsius, he simply would not be able to survive on the earth without it, if it were to be breached he would rapidly die of hypothermia.
Red Food Coloring: The chemical used for red food coloring is lethally poisonous to the Cuotl, consuming it has the same effects as consuming cyanide does for humans.
Language barrier: Czin is not capable of speaking human languages, his physiology is simply too different. Even if his language is being directly translated by say, a lantern ring; his species's odd grammar and sentence structure makes understanding him difficult at best.
Extremely long term thinker: Cuotls do not suffer from senility thus allowing them to live forever if they are not brought low by disease, violence, or accident, and their culture emphasizes long-term thinking and planning over rash and immediate action. When combined with the fact that Czin has lived for a tremendously long time (many quadrillions of years in fact, primarily due to the stable time-loop that the Cuotl's have willingly placed their entire race under which takes them, their memories, and all of their possessions and territories back to just a little bit after the big bang whenever the universe is just about to die) he simply doesn't think on the same terms as a human or even a regular immortal. While this is often an advantage, it has very frequently resulted in him missing out on opportunities he was more than capable of seizing.
Liches: Czin possesses an irrational fear of Liches, something about these death-cheating skeletal mages frightens him. He will not fight them in person of his own will.
Spell concentration: Czin's magic requires concentration, if he is attacked and damaged while casting a spell, he must regain his focus or the spell will fizzle away to no effect. This also applies to his psionic abilities.
Anti-magic/Null Psionic fields: When Czin is in an anti-magic or null psionic field, he feels a dull pain across his body, if the area he is in is both magic and psionic; the dull pain ratchets up to a great deal of agony.
Honor: Czin follows a strong code of honor very strictly, often resulting in truly bizarre choices on his end.

Personality

Czin's personality is quite simply; Alien. His concept of morals and ethics is so different from that of humans that it can boggle the mind. He means no real malice for mankind, though he looks down upon them as a human would look down upon an mouse, but if he had to wipe them out to return home, he'd be more than willing to do it, though it would be possible for an especially Charismatic human to convince him that deep down he really has some fondness for man. He is somewhat vindictive, he never forgets those who have crossed him and always gets back at them or quite often, their descendants. Many of the deaths he inflicts are absolutely horrific, no one would envy the man cursed with Czin's rot, for bacteria would literally eat that man alive, literally rotting him to death within minutes or even seconds.

Equipment

Fundamental Manipulator: This gadget allows Czin to control the fundamental forces, and with the aid of a second device, can be used to create a naked singularity, something that is thought to be an impossibility to human physicists.
Spatial-temporal controller: This gadget allows Czin to manipulate the fabric of space-time, allowing him to teleport, and alter the flow of time, though typically the latter is used for things like time-stops; actual time travel requires an enormous amount of energy, more than his suit can provide without external aid. When used in concert with the Fundamental Manipulator, Czin can generate naked singularities. He can also use these to form pocket dimensions, which allow him to store vast quantities of material without actually having them on his person.
Hellfire generator: This device allows Czin to manipulate and generate the mysterious force of hellfire, which taps into the energies of the lower planes to create a supernatural flame that can fully harm those immune or resistant to normal fire. His typical technique with this device is to engulf everyone in an small area with hellfire, which not only burns them but paralyzes them as they see their worst fears come to life.
Pathogen exuder: this device gives Czin completely mastery of microbial life, allowing him to create horrendous plagues on a whim, he prefers the disease known as Czin's rot; which is an extremely dangerous type of bacteria that devours carbon based life and chemicals; while leaving silicon based life forms unharmed.
Earth regulator: This device gives Czin the ability to manipulate solid matter to a great degree, although manipulating matter as complex as those found in life is rather difficult, especially since most life forms are mostly liquid by mass. This device earned it's name since it's frequently used to manipulate things that would be classified as earth under the classical elements.
Soul Dominator: This device allows czin to manipulate the souls of other life forms, it is typically used to drain the souls of other beings to heal himself and repair his suit, though he could use it to strengthen his own soul. It can be used at a distance and he is capable of shaping it's area of effect.
Mask of fear: Czin is capable of suppressing the field of darkness that shrouds his armor's face-mask/helmet revealing the most horrifying face he can think of, and if he has managed to read the target of this device's mind, then he will alter the face to resemble that which would be the most terrifying for the target.
Cloaking device: Self-explanatory, this hides Czin from the electromagnetic spectrum and muffles any sound he makes to the point of being utterly silent; however he can be detected by alternate means, and if one is a practiced enough listener one could pinpoint his approximate location by listening for the area of silence that this field generates, as a complete absence of noise is quite noticeable if one is paying attention.
Shield: Self-explanatory, this device generates an energy field around Czin's armor, protecting him from harm, though it will collapse if it takes enough damage. If it collapses, it will need 90 seconds to recharge before it can be used again.
Yellow Ring: Recently Czin has acquired a Yellow Power Ring, which selected him as it's user during the second light wars after a team of Green lanterns breached the vault of a being named Glucknar, allowing the rings to find new bearers. Czin was selected for his ability to evoke fear in others, often managing to kill the faint of heart with nothing but fear alone.
