Meanwhile, the school's commandant gets word that the wondering planet Thebor is heading their way and they will be expected to furnish a specially trained corps of cadets to land on it and subdue the marauders that live there. When Greg insists on being admitted because there is no rule against it she decides to put him in the special training, expecting him to drop out. Instead, he does so well that he is made second in command of a group led by Captain Stella Wyle. When they get there he is left to guard the ship but disobeys orders. Making his way to the target, he finds the rest of the group hurrying back to the ship and is told Stella sprained her ankle and had to be left behind. He runs back and saves her and gets a meddle. they get married and he tells her that in their house vacuuming will be her job. the story ends with Greg commenting on how more men are following his example, becoming rocket cadets and leaders everywhere. Stella responds "We women ran things long enough Greg! It's time you men took over again!"
