razzatazz's Mystery in Space #58 review

    Stopping invasion

The Adam Strange story here is not dissimilar to a lot of stories from the era, though this does not much benefit it.  After Adam is teleported to Rann he must deal with stranded space travelers who also happen to be Roman gods.  His method of beating them in combat is ridiculous and the story suffers because of it.  The next story despite being the usual one about stopping space invasions at least has a different format and a resolution which while far-fetched is at least more possible.  The last story is the best here and deals with a want-to-be space pioneer who misses his desires to be first to accomplish space feats (granted two are ridiculous – flying through the sun, and circumnavigating the universe) but after figuring out time travel he goes back and helps the earlier pioneers achieve their dreams.  Overall this issue was all right, though not really much which was noteworthy.
