    Into the eye

The Adam Strange story here, despite having a cooler than usual cover, is actually not as good as usual.  The Adam Strange lead story is usually one in this series which has the best likability even in the face of some silly occurrences, but this is mostly just a weak story that is very similar to the rest of the weak stories in the series.  It is resolved by the hero thinking of something obvious that no one else had ever thought of.  Strangely enough though the villain is in the form of a giant atom, but then there is a public service announcement about how great atomic energy can be in research and a picture of a giant atom is used to demonstrate this.  The next story is kind of weird, though in the context of the series it kind of fits, as a spaceman that has grown tired of carting water around for people discovers a new way to use this during an alien invasion.  The next part covers a Giants of the Telescope feature which focuses on E. Hertzprung.  The last story is kind of a funny one (and maybe not intentionally) about  group of miners that complain about the food and get a robot cook which in turn transforms them into the native.  This happens just in time to stave off a rebellion by the locals.  Overall this one was kind of typical of the series, but not in a particularly good way.
