razzatazz's Mystery in Space #30 review

    Battling the beasts

The first story here is I think the third time in the series that there has been a case of a writer "imagining" events which are actually happening in this case, though in this case there is a bit more of a benevolent resolution as unlike the other stories this one results in the friendship between two races.  Next there is an information page on "Mystery in Space" not all of which seem to be outdated.  The page is a Giants of the Telescope feature on Sir Joseph Norman Lockyer.  The next story is one which is kind of indicative of the period.  It focuses on both saving a group of people and resource extraction.  An infromation page on planets which follows is a bot out of date.  The last story is one involving an interplanetary patent clerk that has to figure out a mystery.  This issue was better than most in the series, with a bit more levity and less of the planetary invasions.
