    Doom Patrol?...

The Good: The cover is pretty great. Everyone's space is equally balanced out, but used in different ways that themsleves balance each other out. It's quite nice.
Scott Kolins is on top of his game here. Sometimes his style can get a little rough and raw for my tastes, but he's done a much cleaner job with his artwork this time around. The coloring especially is really nice, crafting some great detail in Robotman's colors, even though they're mostly just bronze.
The twists to Robotman's status quo are kind of interesting.
Robotman's overarching monologue about thrillseeking digs just deep enough into his backstory, and creates a great tone for the rest of his story.
Aaron Lopresti is also at the top of his game here. He has a nice flow with Garbage Man's panel layouts, definitely better than most of his work, and most of his work is already good.
The story is intriguing, and the little details we get about the people close to Garbage Man set some great plot hooks for the continuation of his story.
And this does start off with a nice sort of 'New Chapter' kind of feel that lets you know you're jumping into this story, but eases you into it, it's the beginning of 'Season 2.' New readers can jump on here just fine without having read the Weird Worlds miniseries.
Kevin Maguire's art overall in Tanga is decent, but his facial expressions are great.

The Bad: I'm definitely not a fan of Robotman's new look. It's not exactly terrible, but it's a little too inhuman for my tastes, especially compared to previous incarnations. Furthermore, because Robotman's appearance is very inhuman, the whole 'Uncanny Valley' subtext doesn't really work. Uncanny valley is when something is dangerously close to human, but not quite there, which makes it ridiculously unnerving because it's almost right, but you know it's wrong. Robotman is very clearly not human, so he doesn't fall into uncanny valley.
I'm a little concerned about Robotman's status in canon now, and I hope this doesn't mean the Doom Patrol is being erased. It doesn't acknowledge them at all, and maybe Robotman's just not with them and not talking about them at the moment, it's no guarantee, but it is a concern.
While Garbage Man eases new readers in Tanga does not. It jumps right back into the same ongoing story it had at a sort of awkward point. There's so much backstory to her current situation that hasn't been explained, and I don't think new readers will warm up to her the same way without the original set up she had. Plus it literally comes 3/4 of the way through the story she's currenty on.

    In Conclusion: 3.5/5
As a continuation of Weird Worlds, this is probably a bit morel ike a 4/5, but by itself it does a bad job at introducing Tanga. And I'm still quite unnerved by Robotman's lack of mention of the Doom Patrol. Plus Garbage Man's story was mostly just exposition, despite being very well done. So if you've read Weird Worlds, I highly recommend this, and if you haven't read Weird Worlds I still definitely recommend this if you like some different stuff.
Also I wish this was an ongoing anthology title like the original series.
