Not is much is known about the past of the newest Ms. America or why she took up the name. Whether there is a connection between her and the original Miss America or yet another girl calling herself Ms. America whom is currently working with the Young Avengers remains to be seen.

Ms. America was created by Dan Slott, Christos Gage and Patrick Scherberger and first appeared in Avengers: The Initiative Annual #1 (2008).

Ms. America
Ms. America
Like all the Liberteens, Ms. America resembles a member of the World War II Liberty Legion, in her case the similarly named Miss America. She and her team fought against the villain known as Flag Smasher when he came to her hometown in order to destroy and ancient American artifact from the Civil War. Ms. America managed to beat Flag Smasher and saved the artifact. It is presumed that Ms. America fought against the Skrulls during the Secret Invasion when it turned out that on of her own teammates was a Skrull infiltrant.
