Mort Fatale is the criminal alien leader to the Dead Boys (Jugula, Bloodstain, Bloodshed and Kooty-Graz) who had several arrest warrants to vast planetary law enforcement agencies. His past is unknown beyond his likeness to Earth monsters and dresses like an 18th century undertaker. Operating on the corrupt, criminal Planet Vurkin under the control of the Pan-Galactic mob, Fatale schemed with mob accountant, Vernon J. Qigley, on a fake kidnapping-ransom of 100 million credits less Qigley would be turned into L.E.G.I.O.N. for his 10 million credit warrant for his shady accounts and his 20 year knowledge of illicit mob activities that would put the entire syndicate in prison.

Lobo unwittingly killed Fatale's getaway driver, Robert De Nitro, on an unrelated arrest warrant for unpaid alimony which lead to De Nitro's death after falling off a building from a botched escape. Upon returning to his bounty agent, Bunsen, for additional work was the opportunity to have Qigley's arrest warrant up in the air which Lobo set to collect with the assist of Jonas Glim.

On the corrupt Planet Vurkin, Mort Fatale fell into a back-up plan to dig Qigley through the sewers to avoid death and capture by law officials, the mob, or bounty hunters but not before eliminating several hired goons of the mob and sending their blackmail notice to the mob headquarters as well. Lobo would search the planet through bribed cops and bruising snitches to a series of warehouses only to intervene on an armored mob raid to take Qigley from Mort Fatale by force then go underground.

Lobo and Jonas Glim each would then intervene to overtake the Dead Boys each until an explosion by mob intervention caused the whole gang to drown in raw sewage but not until a double-cross intervention from Lobo's rival bounty hunter duo, Johnny Quietus and Murder, who were sent on Bunsen's behalf to ridicule Lobo and get a larger split of the bounty apart of Lobo's asking wage. Lobo would come to apprehend Vernon Qigley to escape off his SpazFrag666 Spacehog only to leave the planet. Jonas Glim would be left behind only to claim contempt for Lobo but a paltry 5000 credit warrant for the Dead Boys each whether they were alive or otherwise. Since then, Mort Fatale nor his crew have been seen in space or beyond as of now.

Powers/ Abilities: Mort Fatale is an alien resembling of earth-based ghouls who has the strength, speed, and extra stamina of an Earth man of his age, height, and weight who engages in moderate exercise. He is invulnerable to degrees to take a punch from Lobo who is known to battle Superman but is vulnerable to specific projectiles. He is skilled in criminal ingenuities and firearms plus leadership. Mort Fatale has an odd ability with his bad breath or "coffin breath" which can knock out opponents or in Lobo's case can gag him into nausea or suffocation less he passes out.
