The Hour of Our Release Draws Near
I liked this volume a lot better than the first volume for several reasons. The story is moving along a lot fast now and some things are becoming clear, even though this is one odd comic book series. The art interior work in the book seems to have improved too, even though I'm still not a fan of the faces, it just works for this type of plot. There more character to like, dislike, and introduced without really knowing who they really are just yet. Also, this volume doesn't censor some of the swears as the last volume I got did, which was annoying at first. Another plus I had with this series is the X-Men references and a Virginia Woolf reference too. I can see the people of this comic are influenced with New X-Men, which is one reason I like this book because New X-Men is one of my favorite X-Men books.
The only negative thing I with this series is that the character are great and all, but I get confused who is who sometimes cause they look alike. Maybe it'd don on purpose, but I feel some of the character need more than just hair colors and styles to tell them apart. That could be just me though.
Still loving this book though, even more so after this volume. Reads a lot like a plot for American Horror Story. Not a horror book at all, but I mean with the twists, turns, and mystery of it all. This book is very addicting.
