It's either going to be a cool short series or a painful long one
Morning Glories is going to be a pretty short series at this rate. Casey Blevins has already learned that the Morning Glory Academy has sinister intentions, and this issue Jade wakes up in the infirmary and overhears Miss Dagney and Nurse Nine discussing evil plans - so pretty much the cat is out of the bag for her too.
The issue pretty much exclusively focuses on Casey and Jade's parallel stories - Casey comes to accept there are sinister doings afoot, but powerless to actually do anything, she seems to be biding her time. Jade on the other hand witnesses the attempted escape of one of the numerous patient/prisoners before she is restrained and injected with an unknown substance.
More and more I get the feeling that this series exists only for the purpose of showcasing cute girls in schoolgirl uniforms and damsel-in-distress or other fetish-y cover art. There's some dramatic tension built up - now lets see if they bring it to a satisfying conclusion, or draw it out for dozens of issues. So, half the new recruits know the Academy is a front, and the others must at least strongly suspect. Worse case scenario, one finds out per issue; we're talking a series that should be over by issue six or seven.
