who could play Moon Knight in a life action movie?
Moon Knight
Character » Moon Knight appears in 1414 issues.
Moon Knight, Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley: four different aspects of the same man who was resurrected by Khonshu (the Egyptian Lunar-God of Vengeance and Justice) to serve as his "avatar." Those unjust mortals who prey upon the innocents traveling at night, with powers that come from the moon, beware the Vengeance of the Moon Knight!
who could play Moon Knight in a life action movie?
" I honestly think that Thomas Jane would be a much better Moon Knight then a Punisher. "i think its too late to for jane to play moon knight since he was already pun. i think brad pitt could possibly play him from how he looked in the fight club movie and his schizo personality.
i dont know,maybe he could pull it off,but i am not sure if he is the best guy to play Moon Knight
" @castleking: i dont know,maybe he could pull it off,but i am not sure if he is the best guy to play Moon Knight "who do you think has the look and acting chops to play moony?

maybe the guy who plaied Rorsharck? he doesnt look like Moon Knight,but he was a great Rorsharck and i think he would be a great Moon Knight,the problem is his appearance
Karl Urban. He's a enough decent actor who can and has done action movies. And his looks along with the type characters he plays are always changing from movie to movie, something that would work for the Marc Spector character and his multiply peronality ID's.
I think he's too well known for the part, but Russell Crowe has already tackled a similar character in A BEAUTIFUL MIND, and he has the scruffy, scrappy vibe to play Specter. A Moon Knight movie would be VERY tough to pitch to executives, though. I mean, he's violent, he actually hears voices in his head....wow, the more I think about it, the cooler this movie sounds. The most difficult part would be the public-at-large not looking at the character and immediately thinking he's a BATMAN rip-off. On a related note, Ryan Gosling can play troubled characters very well, so maybe he could do it. But I say go the Nolan-BATMAN route and ground it as much in reality as possible. His origin has him as a Special-Ops Agent who went mercenary. Make him a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who's gone off the grid. They think he's gone rogue, and he's SURE he's doing the right thing. Also, I take a very grounded approach to Khonshu's role in the film, and make him wonder if its real, or he's just crazy. I actually wouldn't give the audience an answer, and leave it very ambiguous.
He usually only plays psychopathic characters, and despite what most people think Moon Knight is not. He isn't a killer most of the time, he also doesn't have delusions of grandeur. He does have delusions but of a different sort. Rorschach is a very different character than Moon Knight in my opinion.
@StrangerXL:
This is actually a pretty good choice, I like it.
@Mutant X:
James Franco is too much of a pretty boy to play the role. He is also not this ultra muscular guy, yeah he has some definition but Moon Knight is very muscular and built up a good deal.
Karl Urban as the Three Faces of Moon Knight:
Marc Spector -the merc
Jake Lockley -the cabbie
Steven Grant - the playboy
" No one. Moon Knight is a crap hero who doesn't deserve a movie. "He has a more interesting story then Iceman so I am not trying to start stuff just saying do not be a d@ck

That's subjective. I'm sorry that I don't like a Batman rip-off, though.
" @Son_of_Magnus said:I am sorry I was just upset when I wrote that I hate seeing him get ripped on I like him allot and he is like the only Jewish comic character lol he needs a movie. But he really has nothing in common with Batman besides gadgets and a cape. He does not like to sneak up on his enemies he wants them to see him coming, he has super powers(or had until recently), then the fact his is fueled not by the loss of someone but fueled to fill up a quota of deaths for Konshu and he also kills and carves faces off" @John Valentine said:*than. Ha! I was just thinking that!
Wow, when Karl Urban was first suggested, I'm thinking... NO! But now, I'm thinking... this could work. Personally, I would like Dennis Quaid, but he's too old now.
A script gets complicated. You can go so many ways here. A lot of people liked the 2006 run, and who's blaming them? It was amazing. The script could follow that. The problem? Bushman dies in the early beginning, leaving a hole for a main villain. What's great? Marc hear's voices and sees the image of a dead Bushman, face torn off and everything. Now tell me that wouldn't be a thing to see in the movie. Another problem with that, are his origins. Do you want a cheap five minute flashback, or do you want to do the whole half hour, if not longer, Batman Begins thing? I think that one of the best parts of a superhero movie is the opening into their world. The part where both you and the character are discovering things for the first time. I feel like you couldn't have this, without some problems, if a script is used, following the 2006 storyline. So that basically leaves us with the 80's. No crazy Marc. No tearing off Bushman's face. I'm not saying it would be bad. I'm saying, there would be some things left out that I would miss. Or maybe you could do a cross between the two? I don't know.
Jack Coleman, there's probably not a lot of Heroes fans anymore but I think Noah Bennet was one of the best characters.
Jackie Earle Haley. He would only be good to play Moon Knight in costume. Aside from that, he doesn't look like Marc Spector .
@John Valentine:
DON'T SCREW WITH MOON KNIGHT!!!
@Vortex13:
Yeah, Moon Knight isn't a psychopath, he's just
messed up in the head
insanium in the cranium.
loony toony
cuckoo for coco puffs

He actually isn't insane. In some of the more recent issues he was informed that it was khonshu's multiple forms that gave him his alternate personalities. He adopted the forms of khonshu to help with his brain damage.
I have a short list for my personal Moon Knight fan-cast... Urban is definitely on it...But my top pick is Dylan Mcdermott. I can't think of any other actor that could so embody the slick, charming of Steven Grant, crustiness of Jake Lockely and the cool badass-ness of Marc, and most importantly this guy can do crazy too.
Said it once and I'll say it again. Antony Starr is the guy to play Moon Knight. His turn on Banshee proves it and there's the little fact he looks EXACTLY like Marc Spector. -
