So if you didn't read it, he's getting moved to LA and his personality disorder is staying but getting altered. He actually IS gonna end up thinking he's Wolverine and Spider-Man and whoever. Personally, I don't like it. They're given enough spotlight and Moon Knight has been unique enough of a character to not need this weird gimmick. It's really upsetting me, as I was hoping they'd either go back to the classic Moon Knight or stick with his Vengeance version. Bendis is f###ing up my favorite hero.
Moon Knight
Character » Moon Knight appears in 1413 issues.
Moon Knight, Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley: four different aspects of the same man who was resurrected by Khonshu (the Egyptian Lunar-God of Vengeance and Justice) to serve as his "avatar." Those unjust mortals who prey upon the innocents traveling at night, with powers that come from the moon, beware the Vengeance of the Moon Knight!
Bendis and Maleev talk about the new series.
He's pretending to be Spider-Man and Wolverine? WTF!?! And no Khonshu? Moon Knight IS Khonshu!! Hasn't he read any of MK's history? I'm so mad right now. And when he mentioned the villains, not a single one was from MK's rogues gallery, so he's "reinventing" that as well? This is a train-wreck before if has even began. I had no problems with Bendis writing Moon Knight, but changing the character in such drastic way is just plain rude to his existing fans.
Bendis just replied to me on Twitter and said, " Way to judge before you read it. you might like it more."
I'm sure he's getting a lot of hate mail on this.
This really does sound bad. I just don't know wtf he's thinking. I really hope it turns out better than my now very low expectations and I can trust the art with Maleev but this just sounds like a terrible idea.
I've really been looking forward to this too..... just hope the Spidey/Cap/Wolverine thing doesn't last long I guess.
He calls him a depressing hero like it's a bad thing...... I like Moon Knight depressing OK?! I like Moony Gloomy!!
Now that I've had time to calm down, the only thing that is still annoying me is the pretending to be other Avengers thing. I can handle him being in LA, being a movie producer, and even not having Khonshu (it wasn't very prominent in his older stuff), but why oh why would he pretend to be Spider-Man or anyone? It just doesn't make sense *whoosa*
I think what has irked me the most is that Bendis thinks Moon Knight has Multiple Personality Disorder... Has he even read a single one of his books? Marc Spector created those personae to perform a role.
Called it! The minute I heard Bendis was behind it I KNEW he was gonna screw another great character over. So we can probably expect Moon Knights death within the next year.
Are you f*cking kidding me?! I want Bendis' head on a pole for f*cking over my favorite Marvel character. I absolutely HATE that he's going to be pretending to be other Avengers, that's just straight up bullshit! I don't mind so much that he's gonna be relocating to LA, but I can't stand the fact of him pretending to be Wolverine, Spider-Man, or anybody else. I also really hate that Khonshu will not be used, he's a major part of Moon Knight.... he's the one who turned Marc into Moon Knight! I really thought he'd go back to the killing and get is moon powers back from Khonshu seeing how his mini series from Shadowland ended. I'm going to reluctantly buy this title only because I need my MK fix, but I do not support Bendis for this shit.
My friends and I were talking about this, and if sales do poorly, Marvel will more likely blame Moon Knight rather than their golden boy, Bendis :(
I may be the minority here, but I am going to embrace this direction for Moon Knight for several reasons. It's interesting for Moon Knight to believe that Spider-Man, Captain America, and Wolverine personalities reside within him that could constantly battle for how to handle a situation ranging from using justice to being brutal, just as long as Moon Knight doesn't gain their powers. I also like that Bendis gave him a job as a movie producer instead of the other writers saying he's just rich (sorry, I don't remember his other jobs). As for Khonshu, he didn't really play a big role in the older series and it's good to give him a break since we've seen him from Huston to Hurwitz (over 4 years I believe). We should also hope this does well because this could be Moon Knight's big break he needs to become popular finally. The artwork from Maleev also looks amazing!
GODDAMNITIT SONOFA***** ****HEAD MOTHER******!!!!!!
NOOOOOOOOO!
MOON KNIGHT IS NOT WOLVERINE, HE'S NOT SPIDERMAN, AND FOR GOD ****ING SAKES, HE NOT CAPTAIN AMERICA!!! ARGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!
I was so looking forward to a good take on Moon Knight and now this! DAMNIT!
" Bendis just replied to me on Twitter and said, " Way to judge before you read it. you might like it more." "SERIOUSLY? F--K HIM.
What's next? Alfred thinks he's the Beyonder?

I think it's ridiculous and lazy on the part of Bendis, turning him into a copycat instead of developing his character.
when i first saw that picture of him with the spidey arm and wolverine claw, i was afraid something like this might happen...
I dont know. I mean, it may not be a total loss. I just dont expect it to be good.

" @Danial79: I never caught that though. I read all the 06 run through VOTMK with the exception of that one story where he and The Punisher are in Mexico. Was it stated there. O_o "I think it was in the Down South arc actually. I'd have to re-read them to find the exact spot though :)

"Correct G-bird. Marvel doesn't care about Moon Knight very much. "
Why don't they just sell Moon Knight to a publisher that DOES care?
Image could pull off MK's violence.
But that won't ever happen, ever. Marvel doesn't care enough to sell him. Lol.
A Spawn/Moon Knight crossover would be balls out amazing.
