Overview

Although his origin is unknown it is revealed that Jim Rhodes and Diana Prince were once close friends. When she confronted him with this, he claimed that the man she knew was her friend but that he was no longer the man she knew.

Rumor had it that Monarch was behind the kidnapping of Diana and Trevor's son but he revealed to them that although he was the manipulator he was not behind the kidnapping plot. He then opened a boom tube to Apokolips and sent Diana and Trevor to see their kidnapped son as part of Thanoseid's plan.

Powers

The true extent of Monarch's powers are unknown but he has shown the ability to create holographic images and open Boom Tubes.
