It says Thor told Hercules he was worthy enough to lift Mjolnir. What issue was that?
Mjolnir
Object » Mjolnir appears in 3589 issues.
Mjolnir (pronounced myawl-nir) is the enchanted hammer wielded by Thor. It was forged by the dwarf weaponsmiths Brokk and Eitri after a bet with Loki. The name means crusher or grinder.
Hercules?
"@War Killer said:What he said. It's Herc's mace that he used to carry around all the time back in the early 90s and before that."" That's not Thor's Hammer though "
Even though that's not his Hammer, I don't read Herc so I don't know if he has picked up the Hammer or not

Ohheythere... ;]
Nah, yeah, I think he mentioned something about how formidable he was in Hercules initial appearance in Journey into Mystery. I don't think Hercules can lift Mjolnir because you have to be pure of heart, right? Hercules has woo'd anything with a pair of boobs into his bed...
Then again, Thor is no saint, he has waged war against the Nine Worlds and had to be taught humility by Odin all while possessing Mjolnir.
It hasn't happened. I don't think Herc has ever even been depicted trying to do it. Personally, I don't think he should be able to. Part of what makes Thor cool and unique is having one of the God's ultimate weapons and being one of the very few both strong enough and worthy enough to lift it. Herc has his own list of badass accomplishments and even though I think he doesn't get the respect he deserves, he shouldn't be able to lift Mjolnir. You can chalk it up to his promiscuity, his arrogance, his extreme over-indulgences in all manners of things he finds fun and pleasurable or even his sins of the past which, though forgiven, he may still be held accountable for when measuring worthiness on a godly scale. Herc is a Marvel character based on arguably the most famous hero of all-time dating from thousands of years ago right up until today. He is the strongest character in Greek Mythology and the second strongest ( behind the Hulk) hero in the MU, he has everything he needs in his own physical abilities. He doesn't need a weapon. How he defeats foes and overcomes obstacles using only his wits and physical prowess is what makes Herc great. Thor is truly worthy of Mjolnir and for plot and characterization, he needs to be. Herc doesn't. Hope they leave it that way.
