"The Dictator's Dungeon." The evil Komodo, a villain from Ted Brown's past, captures Mister Miracle and the gang. The dictator of the title is a thinly veiled reference to Hitler.

A freight train hurtles down the track, barreling towards the bound form of Mister Miracle. As Oberon, Big Barda, Ted Brown and two others look on, the train draws ever nearer, until it's mass obscures the prone figure of Mister Miracle. Once the train has passed, Mr. Miracle is revealed, free of his bonds, standing on the other side of the tracks. The new act is a success. Out of the sky, a bizarre helicopter approaches. Brown is drawn up into the helicopter by a powerful electromagnetic beam. However, before the strange primitives operating the helicopter can shut off the beam, Mister Miracle and Big Barda are drawn up to the craft, and magnetized to the hull. Big Barda smashes her way inside the helicopter, with Mister Miracle right behind her. A short fight breaks out between them and the uniformed primitives, with the heroes triumphant. The helicopter continues on it's way, following a preprogrammed flight path. As they approach a lamasery atop Mount Everest, the floor opens up, pitching Mister Miracle and Big Barda out of the helicopter. Mister Miracle activates the anti-gravity units in his boots, and rescues the still plummeting Big Barda. Brown, bound in ropes, is brought before the primitaves' master, King Komodo.

Mister Miracle and Big Barda enter the lamasery through a large vent, and immediately come under gunfire from the primitives. Big Barda dispatches the lot of them with a hurled boulder. As the pair explore the lamasery, in search of Brown, Mister Miracle notes that the Asian decor of the lamasery seems heavy with Nazi symbology. They discover Brown in a holding cell. While focused on releasing Brown, Mister Miracle and Big Barda are ambushed and stunned into unconsciousness. They awake in Brown's cell. Brown reveals that King Komodo is really Albert Von Killowitz, Hitler's technical genius and a Nazi war criminal. Brown had encountered Killowitz, in Korea, after Brown's patrol had been ambushed and Brown left for dead. Rescued by Mongol warriors, Brown had been brought before Killowitz. Quick to see the spark of recognition in Brown's eyes, Killowitz decided to kill him. Through a harrowing set of circumstances, Brown was able to escape. Now, Killowitz has caught up with Brown. To protect his identity, King Komodo must execute Brown, Mister Miracle and Big Barda. When Mister Miracle punches the monitor screen KIng Komodo is watching them through, a bolt of electricity sends the escape artist crashing to the floor.

King Komodo rains acid down on the intrepid trio, but the specially treated fabric of Mister Miracle's cape proves resistant to the corrosive liquid. Intrigued by the challenge of pitting his technological superiority against Mister Miracle's super escape artist skills, King Komodo offers his captives freedom, if Mister Miracle can survive King Komodo's gauntlet. Mister Miracle agrees and finds himself released from the holding cell. As he stalks down the corridor, he finds that the walls are becoming more cylindrical, and coated in steel. Very quickly, MIster MIracle realizes he has walked straight into an enormous cannon barrel, which is primed to fire. Using his boot lasers, Mister Miracle cuts a hole in the barrel, and drops out just as the cannon fires. Re-entering the lamasery, Mister Miracle hurries down another corridor and is nearly cleaved in twain by a descending axe pendulum. Mister Miracle opts out of finishing the gauntlet, instead sending out an invisible probe to seek out KIng Komodo. The probing beam finds it's mark and takes over KIng Komodo's mind. KIng Komodo orders the releases of the captives, and departs with them, on board the helicopter. With the apprehension of Killowitz, Brown need live in fear no longer.
