"The Greatest Show Off Earth!" Mister Miracle must escape Dr. Bedlam's trap, which is an airborne bomb in outer space.

Ted Brown documents Mister Miracle's latest feat of escape artistry, for a pilot film he hopes will launch the act into super stardom. Mister Miracle is shackled to the tip of a steel post, high above a tank of gasoline. Each of the Female Furies fulfills their role in the act. Big Barda places the post into position. Bernadeth ignites the gasoline. Lashina uses her weapon to compromise the structural integrity of the post. Stompa then kicks the weakened post, snapping it in two. With all eyes upon him, Mister Miracle plummets into the fiery cauldron, seemingly to his death. In truth, under cover of the smoke, Mister Miracle slipped his bonds and vaulted to a nearby tree branch. Bearing witness to these events, a quartet of Animates begin the process of instilling Doctor Bedlam's consciousness into a fifth, inert Animate. The featureless Animate takes on Doctor Bedlam's countenance, as he more fully inhabits it's form. With Doctor Bedlam commanding them, the Animates clear the brush off Doctor Bedlam's Ceri-Skiff, a new trap designed especially for MIster Miracle. As is his wont, Doctor Bedlam broadcasts nightmare images into the minds of Mister Miracle, Oberon and Brown, to announce his presence on Earth. After receiving Doctor Bedlam's psychic "calling card", Oberon fills in Brown on just who their adversary is. As if on cue, a trio of Animates attack, swiftly subduing Brown. Oberon valiantly fights a losing battle against the Animates. Only the intervention of Mister Miracle, and the Female Furies, saves Oberon's life. The Animates are quickly defeated, but not before one of them manages to destroy Mister Miracle's Mother Box. With the Animates destroyed, Mister Miracle heads off into the woods, alone, to face down Doctor Bedlam.

Mister Miracle boards the Ceri-Skiff, and immediately haymakers Doctor Bedlam. The Animate lifelessly falls to the ground, as Doctor Bedlam abandons it's form. The Ceri-Skiff launches into orbit, flying directly into the center of a passing meteor shower. The Ceri-Skiff takes a terrible beating. Inside, Mister Miracle is violently hurled from one side of the cabin to the next. At last, the Ceri-Skiff maneuvers out from amid the meteors, plunging into the Earth's atmosphere. Built without a heat shield, the temperature inside the cabin rises to inhuman levels. Suddenly the Ceri-Skiff vaults back into the upper atmosphere, and beyond, as it hurtles towards the Moon. The Icy cold of space seeps into the once burning craft, settling into Mister Miracle's bones. As the Ceri-Skiff locks onto a collision course with the Moon, Doctor Bedlam returns his consciousness to the Animate, to witness firsthand the death of Mister Miracle. Suddenly the sound of a Mother Box can be heard. Mister Miracle uses the Mother Box to encase Doctor Bedlam in an electro-web of microcosmic atoms. His consciousness trapped in the Animate's body, Doctor Bedlam now faces the fate he intended for Mister Miracle. The Ceri-Skiff's impact with the Moon can be seen from Earth, with the naked eye. A crowds of onlookers are dazzled by the display coming from the greatest show off Earth. Mister Miracle returns to Earth, none the worse for wear. As the Ceri-Skiff was a thought object controlled by the power of Doctor Bedlam's mind, all Mister Miracle had to do was seize control of it, using a back-up Mother Box, secreted in his uniform. After that it was child's play to broadcast himself back to Earth, via the power of his own mind, seconds before the Ceri-Skiff struck the Moon.
