    History

Mirage is American comic book publisher which was founded by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in 1983. It is most famous of its "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Comics.

At first Mirage was just a two man company but after the huge success hit of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", Eastman and Laird hired more people to help them. The hired artists included Steve Lavigne, Ryan Brown, Jim Lawson and Michael Dooney. Eric Talbot, Stephen Murphy and Dan Berger where added later to the team.

In 2009, Nickelodeon purchased the rights to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". Mirage still has right to publish 18 comic books a year.
