razzatazz's Mind the Gap #2 - Intimate Strangers, Part 2: Two Nobodies review

    Wish you were here

As is typical of a second issue of a niche comic trying to break some new ground, this issue was not as strong or as hard hitting as the first as some of the shock wore off, both for the reader and the characters.  What remains though is still a well written and well conceived character driven story.  It kind of goes without saying what transpires here as the series is based around the premise of Elle in her coma, and her family and friends trying to make sense of what happened in the real world.  Some depth is added to a few key characters here and while it is kind of cliched at times, it still works based on the strength of the characters.  That is to say the characters are written strongly enough that the cliches do not slow them down so much.  As should be expected for such a series, this issue ends in a cliffhanger, but this asks more than questions about what happened, but also exactly what is happening to Elle.
