USA Today released a exclusive clip for the upcoming Spider-Man: Web Warriors premiering on Disney XD on Sunday at 9 a.m. (PT/ET). In it, Community's Donald Glover will play Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man, who lives in a world where Peter Parker has died and Miles took the mantle of Spider-Man. Miles will be teaming up with Peter Parker from the 616 universe.

Back in 2010, a fan on Twitter suggested Glover should play Spider-Man in a live action film with the hashtag #donald4spiderman. It went viral and while Donald didn't get the chance to play the part, he does get to play one of the coolest new characters in an animated version. Check out the clip below.

I think it is better Disney makes Ultimate Spidey cartoon with Miles Morales as leading role and takes Avengers EMH approach. I don't really like Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spidey and Hulk Agents of SMASH on disney XD

thats actually pretty cool..im not a huge spiderman fan but marvel is finally doing something different and new when it comes to Spiderman and who better then Donald Glover.

I knew this was going to happen.

Or the show took creative liberties. Like they did with ultimate spider-man in general. I would be very surprised if they followed the comics even with the spiderverse characters. It's cool they are including these spidermen though. Not an over all fan of the show, but i give credit when when it's due.

I think at least a few of them of are strictly animated versions...like the Iron Spider is Amadeus Cho and I'm pretty sure that the Noir looking one is actually Slinger from the Avengers Assemble episode where Thor went to an alternate universe

Hated Ultimate Spider-Man. But this looks a hell lot better. I'm looking forward to Donald Glover's performance as Miles Morales. Maybe this could get Marvel to do their Spider-Man movie with Glover in the role. Does Marvel own the rights to Ultimate Spider-Man (Miles Morales) or is that also owned by Sony (we don't know shit about this character) studios?

I like the idea of him playing Miles Morales IN AN ANIMATED SERIES. If they ever did the character in a live action setting, I want the 13 year old (now 15 I think) version of the character, not a 20 something. It creates a much different dynamic. I just hope if they ever do it, they don't use Jaden Smith.

My only complaint about his performance is he's stuttering too much. I get it's a freaky situation, but it's kinda awkward.

This is a surprised. Never cared for the spiderman shows, but ill give this a look. Thought Glover was done with this stuff to focus on music. Glad he is doing both.

YES! YES!! YES!!!! Now do a spin-off! He's really , really good in the part. And I'd love an adaption of Miles Morales Spidey! I really hope they do this as a series after the final season of Ultimate, or at least revisit him a few times. For a series I'd start with the Death of Spider-Man and go from there.
