A tremendously versatile and talented artist, Michael Sekowsky entered the comics field while it was still in it's infancy. In 1941. he began work at Timely/Marvel Comics and was soon pencilling some of it's top heroes, Including Captain America, the Human Torch, and the Sub-Mariner. Sekowsky Joined DC in the early 1950s and quickly became known for his dynamic renditions of alien worlds and space-faring heroes such as Adam Strange, whom Sekowsky co-created with Gardner Fox. Nevertheless, he is best remembered as the penciller of the wildly successful Justice League Of America, which was drawn exclusively by Sekowsky for it's first eight years. Though never considered on of comics' more polished artists, Sekowsky more than compensated with impeccable and dynamic storytelling. Sekowsky remained active in comics and television animation until his death in 1989.
