After the first tournament, Michelle returns to her mother. Michelle's family has many artifacts passed on by ancestors that seem to have great power and worth. Mishima family research into Native American artifacts reveal knowledge of one particular artifact in the possession of the Chang family. Kazuya Mishima
orders the kidnapping of Michelle's mother to ensue her participation in the King of the Iron Fist tournament. An angry and determined Michelle enters to save her mother. The Mishima's relent, with Heihachi kidnapping Michelle herself in order to attain her pendant which is supposedly key in controlling an ancient fighting god Ogre.

enters the third King of Iron Fist tournament to find and save Michelle.
The character Michelle Chang, is a Namco Bandai
character. She was first introduced in the popular fighting video game franchise Tekken, debuting in the first incarnation of the game, Tekken released in 1994. She makes her first appearance in a comic book with the Namco Bandai produced comic book Tekken Forever #1.
Although a popular character within the first two installments of the hit fighting game series, she is succeeded by her adopted daughter Julia Chang
for much of the games stories and games merchandise after.
