    Character » Mercury appears in 1028 issues.

    A former member of the Hellions training squad, Mercury was a junior member of the X-Men. Her mutant power transformed her entire body into living liquid metal. Although continually struggling to accept her mutant form, she has made strong friendships with other young mutants under the X-Men's care. She is currently enrolled at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning.

    It WAS disappointing that she was only used as a plot device in Deadpool.  It's a shame that as one of X-23's few genuine friends, that she's nowhere to be seen in the future of her on-going.  It's more likely to see Laura team-up with Cess than with Gambit :p

    It was more disappointing that whoever used her as a plot device in Deadpool clearly hadn't read Hellions.

    They uncovered that in the Deadpool story, that it was all part of a ruse to make the X-Men look bad.   
     
    So... what would you like to see Marvel do with the character?

     She and Hellion are probably my favourite students. She has nice and versatile power IMO, they should exploitit more on comics. I liked her contributions to some books like X-Infernus but I too want to see her more. 
     
    She has the potential to be as close to X-23 as Nightcrawler was to Wolverine, wich could be interesting.
