While incarcerated in Perth, Australlia, Melinda is approached by Maria Hill. Maria informs her she has been selected to work with Dr. Banner and S.H.I.E.L.D. Melinda informs Maria, that even though she is incarcerated she has been approached by HYDRA and Egghead, but she'd rather work with Banner.

Melinda is present when the team meets with Banner for the first time. Like the others she is calm when Banner tests them, by pretending to Hulk-out.
