Origin
Medjine Parker was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Orphaned at a young age, she and her brothers were put in an orphanage. She was adopted by an American family, the funds were raised by her new family's whole church. But her adopted family were not happy with her, deeming her too old.
When Medjine Parker and her siblings stood in front of Teena Hornick's door to collect money for the church, Teena invited them in for lemonade. Under the influence of the demon Azazel (who was trapped in a bottle), Teena started to threaten them and killed one of them. Medjine stood up to her, long enough for the police to arrive. Teena slit her own throat to avoid arrest. Medjine took Azazel in the bottle home with her.
Mistreated by the adopted parents, she ran away from home. On her bus travel, she met Lorin Hammon. Drawn to them were Lucifer and Gabriel, looking for Azazel, who was suspected of murdering The Presence. Joined by the angel Raphael, Lucifer managed to destroy Azazel.
Medjine was safely dropped off by Gabriel at the house of her older brother, who was also adopted.
