I'm going to wait until I see what this redesign is all about. I don't trust that cropping of her face on the cover.

Aside from that, on a story level, I had always hoped that when Maxima returned that she had a whole dynamic of underlings and disciples go before her. The kinds of heraldic characters befitting of a monarchy who would cause trouble and drop her name before she even got there. At the very least a simulacrum. I mean, she's been out of sight for quite a while. What has she been up to? There's an element of mystery worth capitalizing on. Perhaps it's just me, but I'd go for a slower reveal. We'll see.

Also, no offense to the Supergirl fans out there, but if this is really a debut for Maxima, this seems like a demotion from the original in Action Comics. We'll see what happens, but I still have the bad taste in my mouth coming from new 52 Cyborg Superman.

gimme some thoughts...........would you like back her original powers or something new? I just don't want them to attribute ALL her physical stats to telekinesis. She's physically on par with supes with out it already. Basing it on TK would be just stupid to me.

i want the original power set and more i would not mind her being able to like multiply herself too and heat vision as well.

So according to this link, this school she's attending is for beings of "cosmic Importance". My guess is, she'll be a princess of sorts now. So that means she's younger................no more superman chasing fore her!
