This fall will be pretty big for Marvel comics. The company that brings us Spider-Man and the Avengers will be relaunching their entire line of books this October. Sound familiar? In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Marvel's Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada, the publisher revealed their plans to change their universe.

But how much will change, and how much will stay the same? Although Quesada stresses that the entire universe won't be changing, he does indicate that we will be seeing the return of some characters and the launch of all-new titles.

• Uncanny Avengers - written by Rick Remender, artist unknown – Shipping in October, a direct spinoff from Avengers vs. X-Men, Remender says “It’s a bridge book, something that can delve into both worlds”

• All New X-Men - written by Brian Michael Bendis, artist unknown – Shipping in November, the rumors of Bendis taking over the X-Men appear to be true. Bendis will use time travel to bring the original five X-Men to the present day as Bendis describes, “It’s not a time travel story like Back to the Future. It’s a time travel story like Pleasantville,“ marking the return of Jean Grey to the 616 universe.

• Avengers - written by Jonathan Hickman, artist unknown – Shipping in December, Hickman picks up the Avengers reins from Bendis has he expands the scope of The Avengers. Hickman is quoted as saying “It’s not six Avengers, It’s 18 or more”. The new title will be biweekly and will be a combination of oneshot stories and longer, “galaxy spanning multi-issue arcs” as they protect the entire universe and become an Avengers for the 21st century.

This is pretty big news for Marvel and Marvel fans, although MARVEL NOW (which is what the publisher is titling this new initiative) won't be all that similar to DC's relaunch of the New 52. I may give the X-Men not a shot because I like Jean's character. As for the others I would like to see the art.

Uncanny Avengers - Seems interesting but IMO just a ploy to get X-Men readers to have to buy Avengers and Avengers to have to buy X-men.

All New X-Men - Not sure how this will work considering they are making it in the 616 instead of a multiverse. Also since most of the original 5 are still alive.

Avengers - IMO just a marketing hype to tie in Guardians of the Galaxy and then Avengers 2.

I doubt they are doing a New 52 reboot, I think more of a structural reboot of what books to publish and what ones to drop.

Why am I not surprised. It was just a matter of time.

Everything is going better than expected.

I hope they actually keep SOME of the character advancements and don't just drop good characters (a la Wally West New 52).

I have a feeling AvX will be overwritten...

the all new x-men will have the original x-men? Nobody can time travel backwards and change it unless they have cosmic powers. Perhaps they will use the phoenix force to time travel back into the past and pick up the original x-men?But why? Why would they even pick up teenage versions of themselves? Sorry but I'm not buying this.Smells like another gimmick.

Also, it wouldn't be the same Jean Grey. This sets her character back over decades of character development.

thats it. they have forced my hand. im calling it. if they keep making these 'decisions', quesada anyway, marvel will go bankrupt in 5 years. 5 years. TOPS. and marvel will be no more. and i dont care how much money they make from the movies, tv shows. they are a comic book company and they are sinking deeper and deeper into the ocean of crap that is quesada and company.

If this takes Rick Remender off of uncanny X-Force, or Kieron Gillen off of Uncanny X-men I will drop Marvel.

After careful reflection, both Uncanny Avengers and Avengers looks good. Looks like Marvel may have gained a lapsed reader.

It is good to see that Marvel can learn from DC's success. House of Ideas, my butt.

Really tempted to get the new Avengers book, but the X-Men and AVX spin-off don't exist i my reality, so I'm ignoring those two.

I think Venom will be ruined when Remender leaves and Bunn takes over. This is based on Bunn's average work so far on Captain America and whomever.

I really hope this isn't a reboot in any way, that's what always made marvel (in my opinion) better than DC, continuity that matters & is consistent.

Can someone explain to me what this is? Are they rebooting series? Are the current series that are out now gonna end?

...I hate this. Cyclops looks lame in the pic up above, not a fan of the changes to Nick Fury why does Thor have swords on his back? Just not a fan. I tried the new 52. I am tired of sweeping changes. I would love to see Jean back, but not a entire universe revamping. All of this, just to sell books. The dollar does still speak. Lame lame lame lame. It wasn't broken, don't freaking fix it. Idoits (that goes for you to DC).

I cannot believe they are making Nick Fury black now! I have no problem with black or other minority comic book characters, but when you take a character that has been around for years just for diversity (because whatever bulls*** excuse they give it's always for more diversity), it p***es me off.
