I believe the Fantastic Four we're the first "technical" Silver Age Marvel Heroes...followed by Spider-Man...I think?
crazy spidey says:
"he just wasnt popular"
Really???? i have no idea who, and i'm a BIG TIME Silver Age collector? Are you sure you're not mistaken? and may be thinking Golden Age hero?
Do you mean Hulk?...again, "technically" the Fantastic Four are 4 characters (they count) so they are first...if you meant single comic, in his own title hero...then I guess Hulk?
O by the way not only is he the first marvel hero in teh silver age, but he's actually the first silver age superhero anywhere
crazy spidey says:
"ah, Flash does not count as a silver age hero for some reason, go figure"
What web site are you looking at

Most people would generally agree that Showcase #4 (the first Barry Allen Flash) is the first silver age comic. I think DC sometimes think of the Martian Manhunter as their first original silver age hero (Detective Comics #225, 1955 which I have seen reprinted as the first silver age hero), though he appeared as a back up story to Batman. For Marvel, as others have said, it would be the Fantastic Four. Spidey followed shortly after. During the fifties, as Atlas, they weren't doing many superhero comics and those they were doing had been created in the forties (Captain America, Namor, Human Torch).

While I admit that I'm no historian, I had never heard of Dr. Droom before today. I think I've only seen him as Dr. Druid in passing. Reading his wikipedia entry (I know, I know), he sounds like he's more in keeping with horror/fantasy stories of the fifties than a superhero comic. To that end, I'd say that he isn't really a silver age superhero, but a comic book character created during the silver age. He only entered superhero comics later.

Freddy is more Golden Age, although I can see how someone would call him Silver Age...See, Micheal Myers is the Golden Age of slashers, though technically, all slashers are the Silver Age compared to the classics like Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, Invisible Man...so, yeah, your actually right, Spidey, Freddy is Silver Age as well. Although, the fact that your right, well, that's just...
