Thanos can fly depending on the writer. Sometimes he can't.

I find it difficult to believe someone of his immense power is unable to achieve flight. That said, in my book it's like asking if he can run: Even if he can, when you're as bada** as he is, you never move above a determined walk.

He's very powerful, but does not have the ability to fly. I'm hoping they use him in the next Avengers film.

In Thanos Rising, we can hear Thanos' thoughts and he mentions the ability to manufacture powers using his advanced intelligence, scientific prowess, and technology to do so. So, if he found a need for flying he could come up with a way to do it, it seems.

I kinda like the fact that he doesn't fly it would be a little too much for me, but doesn't he have a throne that can levitate or something?

In the past, Thanos has employed the use of a floating throne. It is equipped with a lot of controls to his ship and that allow teleportation of himself and inanimate objects around him.
